Envisioning Research is an annual contest to help the NC State research community share the beauty of research. Prizes are awarded annually to university-affiliated applicants, and the winning images are used in a variety of promotional ways across campus to increase visibility.

The contest is a joint project, organized by The Graduate School, Office of Research and Innovation, Office of Undergraduate Research, NC State University Libraries and University Communications and Marketing.

2025 Envisioning Research Contest: NC State is calling on graduate students, undergraduate students, postdocs, faculty and staff to take part in Envisioning Research, the university’s annual research image contest. Help us highlight the beauty and importance of the work being done at the bench and in the field, both on campus and around the world. The last day to submit is April 25.
